Relocation reimbursement: possible, but not preferred.
Travel: Yes, domestically and including some international travel.

Position Summary:
Develops and secures a growing stream of profitable engineering consulting business within a Clean Energy (Product) Group and in support of firm’s strategic plan;
Coordinates internal resources across functions to effectively deliver engineering projects to clients;
Build the firm’s image & brand as the leading engineering consultancy to the clean energy industry;
Responsible for technical excellence, selling, and financial project control.
Responsibilities (Essential):
Identifies opportunity in market consistent with strategy and product group goals, through analysis and networking, to develop leads and convert to sales; collaborates with senior leadership team to identify and create new service offerings;
Leads interfaces with multiple clients, to identify potential needs, develops workable solutions and integrates solutions into proposals;
Provides technical leadership in identify and devise innovative solutions in engineering services; maintains awareness of current and emerging advanced engineering technologies, tools and methods that impact the delivery of projects;
Confers with management, business development and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness and customer demand for new and existing services;
Coordinates internal technical staff to establish capability with customer; leads project teams through alignment and delivery of technical deliverables, tools and methods consistent with client engagements and needs;
Stimulates internal knowledge and interest in new innovations, technologies and approaches; educates technical and non-technical staff in their uses;
Forecasts’ operating costs for projects and prepares project reports;
Identifies, integrates and standardizes best practices with respect to key technical deliverables such as modeling and other technical analyses;
Various projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Established network & relationships in wind industry (OEMs and Suppliers), preferably at executive and director level;
Good knowledge of wind industry dynamics from OEM, utility and financial market standpoint;
Ability to deliver engineering programs in wind component/system development;
For periods of time, able to work out of the Detroit, MI technical center;
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree preferred;
Ten years related experience, including responsibility for engineering solutions for the product from design to application, in similar industries, preferable wind energy;
Proven ability to successfully lead and develop cross-functional engineering and operations teams and be well organized to a maintain solid understanding and conceptual awareness of complex client wind and clean energy projects;
Experience managing programs involving multiple disciplines & departments, without necessarily direct reports;
Solid knowledge of industry-standard legal and business language, including familiarity with contracts, NDAs, IP, payment terms, proposals, pricing, margins, etc;
Strong presence and impact; results-driven; highly motivated to sell and deliver;
Strong leadership skills, to satisfy clients while achieving technical, project and sales targets;
Possess a strong degree of passion for clean/renewable and wind energy, sustainability and environmental conservation.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, within the Company and externally;
Ability to present complex technical information to audiences with varying degrees of technical skill;
Excellent communication and collaboration skills allowing to work across functions and organizations;
