From 2000-2007, Mr. Cook was under contract with the State of Michigan Energy Office as a consultant for Rebuild Michigan, a program funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. In that time he inspected and audited over 500 buildings for more than 150 school districts, local governments and public housing authorities in the State of Michigan. In his last three years with the program, Rebuild Michigan helped facilitate $40-million in energy efficiency projects saving more than $7-million dollars annually.

As Senior Auditor with Volt Energy Systems, owner/partner of Quantum Energy Resources and owner of G-ENERGY, Mr. Cook has conducted in excess of 4000 residential, commercial and industrial energy audits over the past twenty-five years, primarily in conjunction with utility company energy efficiency programs. Mr. Cook also trained and supervised over twenty energy auditors who completed more than 25,000 residential and commercial/industrial energy audits for utility companies.
