MUNICIPAL SERVICES GROUP, INC ANNOUNCES SPECIAL MICHIGAN GREEN PORTFOLIO ALLOCAT
Michigan Green News

With a major focus on viable energy improvement projects for the State of Michigan, MSG has created the Michigan Green Fund - $45M exclusively to finance energy projects and green technology for municipal entities such as cities, counties, school districts, special districts, and all other governmental agencies statewide This special allocation will enable qualified entities within the state to finance these projects, upgrades, and improvements at aggressively low interest rates using a structure more cost effective than bonds. MSG has invested the resources necessary to obtain a solid understanding of the benefits these improvements and projects have not only from an environmentally conscious perspective, but also from the fiscally responsible perspective of all parties involved. MSG looks forward to being a leader in ushering in any new technology and processes which ultimately contribute to the preservation of our world’s natural resources and increase the quality of the world we live in.

Municipal Services Group, Inc. ("MSG") was organized in February 1988 by its owner, Donovan Stevens, to meet the growing need for tax-exempt lease purchase financing for municipal, county, state, and special district governments. Headquartered in Littleton, Colorado, and with offices in North Carolina, Washington, and California, the company’s employees are specialists in public finance and lease origination, as well as municipal lease contracting and servicing. MSG has funded over 5,000 municipal transactions in the last 18 years totaling more than $1 billion.

MSG prides itself on the quality and consistency of its vendor and municipal repeat business, loan documentation, and the efficiency of its servicing operations. This is underscored through its relations with Fortune 500 corporations and municipalities throughout the United States. MSG has a national vendor agreements in place with companies such as Badger Meter, the nation’s largest supplier of water meters and automated meter reading technology, and Layne Christensen, the nation’s leader in water procurement, including well drilling, pumping, treatment, and filtration systems. Addressing specific statutes in the state of Texas, MSG specifically designed a document that has been utilized by over 200 school districts in the state.

Specialized agreements and working relationships with equipment manufacturers and their dealers, individual municipalities, as well as municipal associations like Michigan Green is the basis for MSG’s excellent reputation in the municipal financing industry. To date, MSG has provided financing for over 3,000 municipalities, providing MSG’s staff with insight into the unique needs of municipalities. Whether directly contacting the municipal entity or providing a “turn-key” package with a vendor, our corporate focus is very clear: MSG provides cost competitive financings for municipalities seeking to acquire essential equipment at low, tax-exempt rates.
