With a responsible budget solution in place for 2008, Governor Granholm is once again focusing all her energy on enacting her comprehensive economic plan for Michigan. As part of that plan, the governor is taking steps to secure Michigan's status as the world leader in the research and production of alternative energy technology. She knows that, for Michigan, green energy means great jobs

Experts have predicted that, within the next 25 years, hundreds of millions of new jobs will be created in the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries. Governor Granholm is making sure that most of those jobs land right here in Michigan. That's why she's traveling across the country and around the globe to talk with business leaders and government officials about why Michigan is the best place to grow alternative energy companies.
